Parent Expectations
Expect me and my coaches to be early and at all practices and games.
Expect me and my coaches to be prepared and knowledgeable.
Expect me to be fair, objective and consistent.
Expect me to be a disciplinarian.
Expect your son to learn alot about the fundamentals of football, discipline, teamwork, goal setting and camaraderie.
Expect your son to have lots of fun and meet new friends.
Expect yourself to have lots of fun.
Expect your son to get lots of reps and coaching during practice.
Do not expect me to tolerate the breaking of team rules.
Do not expect me to accept anything other than 100% effort.
Plan on a long, successful season.
The team always comes first. We have no stars.
Football is a loud, tough, aggressive, disciplined and emotional game. We coach it in the same way.
A parents influence or position makes no difference.
Parent Rules
Do not come on the practice field unless specifically asked by me to do so.
Please remain in parent's area during practice.
Do not coach your son during practice. We require your son's undivided attention when we are teaching him.
I will not discuss your son's position.
I will not discuss any boy on this team, other than your son.
If you have a problem, call me. Do not discuss problems with assistant coaches.
Be early for practice. Have your son dressed and fully equipped.
Please call if you must miss practice. If you do not, your son will be penalized 2 of his plays.
We will be at games one hour early. If you are late we will start taking away plays.
Do not talk negative about coaches in front of your son, even though you may dislike a coach.
Be positive with your son. Coach your son on only what he learns in practice.
If you have a problem, do not discuss it in front of the boys. Call me at home.
I will assign positions and playing time based on achievement. Boys earn what they get on my team. Your boy will be put in a position where he can most help the team and have the best chance to succeed.
We don't play kids to make them happy. Athletes are played because they have great attitude, they do the things that are required plus more. They add the most value to the team. They understand their roles on the team. Their number one goal is to make the team better, and they do the job better than someone else.
